Beautiful hand spun art yarn
This yarn was created over several days, hand spun on my spinning wheel and embellished with treasures during the spinning process.
I made this yarn with blended fibres that I dyed myself, including merino, polwarth, romney, corridale, soya silk, tencel, firestar, angelina and llanwenog. I corespun these fibres over a mohair blend core yarn, and added pretty things all along the yarn.
The embellishments include:
* Silver sequins, spun both as little jewelled areas and as longer lengths mixed in with the fibre blend
* Hand dyed recycled silk throwsters - a gorgeous tangled birds nest of silk threads in pale peach
* baby pink tinsel yarn
* extra long, naturally cream Leicester long wool locks from a local flock.
Loved creating this yarn. It feels really soft too. It would make a gorgeous accent yarn in a weaving, or to create jewellery from, or knit into a special hat.
