While the main carriage works across the main needle bed, the RJ1 controls the ribber bed, allowing the two beds to work together for two-colour double-bed jacquard.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis is particularly useful for:\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003etwo-colour double-bed jacquard\u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003ebirdseye-backed patterning\u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003emulticolour motifs with the floats enclosed between the two layers\u003c\/li\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003ewarmer, more substantial patterned fabrics with a smooth, wearable reverse\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003ePlease note:\u003c\/strong\u003e the RJ1 is a specialist carriage, not a ribber on its own.
