A compact little shuttle made for the close, rhythmic work of inkle weaving. Wind your weft neatly around the centre and use the smooth bevelled edge to beat each pick firmly into place, building crisp bands, straps and patterned braids one satisfying row at a time.
At 18cm (7in), it sits comfortably in the hand and slips easily through the narrow shed of an Ashford Inkle or Inklette Loom. The shaped edge is especially useful for producing the dense, even structure that makes warp-faced weaving so distinctive.
