Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom Second Heddle Kit

This small kit opens a surprisingly large new chapter for your rigid-heddle loom. Add a second reed to double your ends per inch, weave with finer yarns, explore twills and textures, or begin playing with double-width and double-layer cloth. It is a lovely next step when plain weave has sparked your curiosity and you are ready to see what else your loom can do.

• Includes two wooden support blocks, fittings, instructions and multi-heddle patterns.
• The second reed is not included.
• Use two reeds of the same dent to double the sett—for example, two 12.5dpi reeds produce 25 ends per inch.

Compatibility note: this kit is for the standard Ashford Rigid Heddle Loom with pre-drilled fitting holes. It is not the kit for the folding Knitters Loom. Please choose an additional reed matching your loom width.
