The rotating mill makes winding a warp considerably faster and more comfortable than working around fixed pegs. Its sturdy uprights take the strain as the mill turns, while the movable pegs give you flexibility when planning your warp.
You can use both sets of pegs to make a warp with two crosses - particularly useful when threading back to front - or use one set for a single cross when threading front to back or working with lease sticks.
