Ashford E-Carder 30 – Electric Drum Carder
The Ashford E-Carder 30 takes the physical effort out of preparing larger quantities of fleece and fibre. Its two powerful, independently controlled motors let you card and blend smoothly while keeping both hands free to guide the fibre across the generous 30cm (12") working width.
Variable speed and ratio controls give you much more precision than a simple powered carder: slow things down for careful blending, adjust the in-feed rate to suit the fibre, or reverse the drums at reduced speed to remove the finished batt. It is a serious studio machine for spinners, feltmakers, dyers, small producers and anyone whose hands, wrists or shoulders would benefit from powered fibre preparation.
