This is the flyer for letting your wildest batts off the leash. The Ashford Joy Freedom Flyer gives you a huge 25mm (1in) orifice and generous open yarn guides, so locks, ribbons, feathers, fabric strips, coils and exuberantly textured yarns can travel through without being squeezed into good behaviour.

The complete lacquered assembly includes a jumbo single-drive bobbin, replacement top shaft, brake band and tension springs. It fits both single- and double-treadle Ashford Joy wheels.

Compatibility note: this flyer is specifically for the Ashford Joy. The wheel may not fold completely while the Freedom Flyer and jumbo bobbin are fitted, so remove or reposition them before packing the wheel into its bag.
