Kromski Wooden WPI Tool

A small, beautifully made tool that takes the guesswork out of identifying your yarn. The Kromski WPI Tool helps spinners, knitters and weavers measure wraps per inch, whether you are checking a freshly spun single, matching a handspun yarn to a project or recording the results of a favourite spin.

Wrap the yarn gently and evenly around either measuring section without stretching or squashing it, then count the wraps that sit within the marked space. The tool provides both ½-inch and 1-inch measuring sections, so you can choose the scale that is most useful for your yarn.

Measuring note: Wrap with light, consistent tension. Pulling the yarn taut or packing the wraps together will give a misleading result.
