Louet Jane 8- and 16-Shaft Table Loom

The Louet Jane is a wonderfully capable table loom for weavers who want serious multi-shaft possibilities without giving permanent studio space to a large floor loom. It folds to approximately 21cm with your warp still in place, so an unfolding cloth can stay safely dressed while the loom is stored or transported between weaving sessions.

Choose a 50cm, 70cm or 90cm weaving width, then select either eight shafts with the option to expand to sixteen later, or the complete sixteen-shaft model from the outset. The lacquered solid-beech frame feels beautifully purposeful, while cords running over rollers reduce wear and the overhead beater stays clear of the shuttle path to help create a generous shed.

Choosing your Jane

• Eight-shaft expandable: eight shafts now, with compatibility for the matching Louet 8-to-16 shaft extension.
• Sixteen-shaft: all sixteen shafts supplied, with a shuttle race included.
• The optional floor stand does not convert Jane to treadle operation; shaft selection remains manual.
• The padded Jane carry bag is made for the 50cm model only.

• 40/10 metric stainless-steel reed, approximately 10 dpi
• 205mm Texsolv heddles: 400/600/800 with the 50/70/90cm eight-shaft models; 800/1,200/1,600 with the sixteen-shaft models
• Shaft bars and sides
• Two lease sticks and two apron bars
• Sixteen warp sticks
• Built-in raddle, PZ2 screwdriver and assembly hardware

The Jane is partially assembled; the 90cm model requires more assembly. Current Jane sizes are 50cm, 70cm and 90cm. The discontinued 40cm model and older non-expandable Jane designs use different specifications and should not be confused with these current versions.
