The Louet XL Drum Carder is a wonderfully capable workhorse for makers who want to prepare generous, flowing batts. Its broad 30cm working width gives you room to explore colour, texture and fibre blends on a larger scale, while the enclosed gearing keeps the movement smooth and helps prevent wisps of fibre becoming caught in the mechanism.

This 72 TPI version is the versatile choice for finer wool and many everyday spinning fibres. The nickel-plated steel carding wire is set into a cotton and natural-rubber foundation for durability, and the waterproof bonded-birch frame has an easy-care white HPL surface.
