Silver Reed AG24 Intarsia Carriage for SK280 & SK840

The Silver Reed AG24 opens up true intarsia on your standard-gauge knitting machine, letting you build pictures, lettering, geometric shapes and bold blocks of colour without long floats across the back of your knitting.

You place each colour by hand over the needles you want to knit, then pass the carriage across the bed. It is a lovely way to bring a much more illustrative, hand-designed feel to machine knitting, and you can use as many separate colours in a row as your design needs.

Good to know: this is an intarsia carriage for colourwork. It is not a replacement main carriage and it does not automate colour placement; the yarns are laid across the selected needles by hand, which is what gives you such freedom over the design.
