Silver Reed RJ1 Ribber Jacquard Carriage for SRP60N

If you would love to knit beautifully patterned double-bed fabrics with a much neater reverse, the Silver Reed RJ1 is the carriage that makes that possible.

The RJ1 works on the SRP60N standard-gauge ribber and is most often paired with the Silver Reed SK840 electronic knitting machine. While the main carriage works across the main needle bed, the RJ1 controls the ribber bed, allowing the two beds to work together for two-colour double-bed jacquard.

This is particularly useful for:

• two-colour double-bed jacquard
• birdseye-backed patterning
• multicolour motifs with the floats enclosed between the two layers
• warmer, more substantial patterned fabrics with a smooth, wearable reverse

Please note: the RJ1 is a specialist carriage, not a ribber on its own. You will need an SRP60N ribber, a compatible standard-gauge Silver Reed machine and the appropriate patterning set-up.
