Soft Byte USB BrotherLink 5 with Magnetic Arm

The USB BrotherLink 5 is a very flexible link for machine knitters who want both pattern transfer and Interactive Knitting. It has the same two-way pattern-transfer support as BrotherLink 1, with a magnetic arm that lets DesignaKnit follow the carriage on any knitting machine, including non-electronic machines.

For electronic transfer it supports the Brother KH930, KH940, KH950i, KH965i and KH970, plus a PPD using Cartridge III in KH900 mode or the CK35 cartridge.

What it gives you

• Download patterns from DesignaKnit to compatible Brother electronic machines or PPD memory
• Upload 900-series patterns from a compatible machine or PPD into DesignaKnit
• Interactive Knitting through the supplied magnetic arm
• Interactive Knitting on electronic and non-electronic machines

This is often the most useful BrotherLink if you want interactive row-by-row guidance as well as electronic pattern transfer. The magnetic arm can also make plain and lace knitting easier because it does not depend on a particular carriage setting.

A PPD Adapter is required when working in KH900 mode or with a CK35 cartridge. The link has a USB-A connector, and DesignaKnit software is sold separately.
