Soft Byte USB ScreenLink for DesignaKnit

The USB ScreenLink brings DesignaKnit’s Interactive Knitting to manual, punch-card and other non-electronic knitting machines. A detector follows each pass of the carriage so DesignaKnit can move through your work row by row, giving visual instructions and audible reminders for shaping and pattern changes.

It is a wonderfully flexible choice if you use more than one machine: the same ScreenLink can be used across suitable manual and punch-card machines rather than buying a separate electronic link for each one.

What it does

• Advances DesignaKnit’s Interactive Knitting display as the carriage moves
• Provides row-by-row instructions and audible alerts
• Works with manual and punch-card knitting machines
• Supports printed DesignaKnit punch-card and mylar templates

Please note: ScreenLink does not download stitch patterns into a machine. For punch-card or mylar machines, DesignaKnit can print an exact-size guide which you use to prepare the card or sheet, then ScreenLink guides you while you knit.

A separate KnitLink Platform is required for Silver Reed 360, 370, 700 and Zippy machines with Knitradar, and for the Passap/Pfaff Duo, because their detector needs a platform on the yarn mast.

The link uses a USB-A connector and requires a cable-link-enabled machine-knitting edition of DesignaKnit; DesignaKnit HandKnit does not operate cable links.
