Soft Byte USB-to-Serial Converter for DesignaKnit Cable Links
A carefully selected USB-to-serial converter for using compatible older serial DesignaKnit cable links with a computer that has a USB-A port.
Not every generic converter works reliably with knitting-machine links because the machines and design controllers use different voltage levels. Soft Byte selected this current model specifically for its compatible cable-link range, so it is the sensible choice when you need to keep a supported serial link in use.

The converter has a USB-A connector. It is intended for compatible serial cable links; you do not need it for a current USB link. Please check the exact name of your existing link before ordering. If you are unsure, send Louise a photograph of the cable and connector and she will gladly help you identify it.
